Strut ram prottection??

PostPost by: nomad » Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:57 pm

Wondering what folks do for protection from road debris hitting the strut ram and damaging it once you go to the smaller rear springs? Was thinking of a section of maybe motorcycle inner tube over the top of the springs. Open for suggestions....

Steering rack gaiters, if you can find them large enough diameter. I used them on the inside of my standard size springs.

I made some rap-around covers out of some old vinyl flooing I had. With the TTR spring top caps it's easy to fasten with a hose clip.

I have used the arms of my sons old wet suit- think he was 12 years old at the time. Fit perfectly over the top cap and then tie wrap at the bottom :-)

Great idea's folks. I like the wet suit the best but not many old ones lying around in South Dakota! :D
