early Elan

another question about my early Elan 0045. I have the chassis unit stripped and ready to repaint. It is a replacement unit. The Tabs that hold the brake lines on the vacuum tank are missing. Somewhere in the back of my mind I think I remember that the lines on an early car ran at the back of the tank rather than on top. Since I will be replacing brake lines and have to weld on new tabs I might as well put them where they belong. Any help to enlighten me would be appreciated. Gary

Gary,
I have three S3's, the latest one a Super Safety, and all three have the brake line(s) running across the back of the vac chamber/ front cross-member.
