Brake hose seals?

PostPost by: PaulH » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:00 pm

I'm not sure if there should be a washer/seal between the brake hoses and the brake calipers. I can't see anything obvious in the parts list. Can anyone confirm please?

Yes. A copper washer, usually comes in the hose kit.

For that angle of entry you should be using a banjo fitting if you are using the correct brake hoses.

As above, the original hoses had a brass end that converted the hose to a banjo fitting.

The flexi pipes and end fittings are shown in Section JA of the Parts Manual - under Bundy Pipes. The Banjo fittings and copper washers are shown.
