To save phoning and bothering Sue, I was wondering if anyone knows the latest? Are they made? Painted? Has anyone taken delivery of any yet? It was supposed to by Autumn sometime, I am assuming late or Winter time now.
Anyone know?
Keith.

I was at her premises in early September. She had a significant number of the Elan wheels.
Some already painted :- some black, some silver. I think she was waiting for boxes to pack them in ready for despatch and there were further deliveries expected. They looked very smart to me & Sue said she was pleased with them.
I think a fair portion of the run is pre-sold

Phoned to confirm. Phew my name is still on the list. She is getting them in batches. I am later on in the list so would have been contacted soon. Her biggest problem believe it or not is delivering them. Some have been damaged. So she is getting special boxes made. Don't know how much extra that will make them. Anyway, I am going to collect mine from her so she is really pleased about that. Saves her a lot of hassle. So go and collect if you can.

As far as I know it is only the K/O's (both elan & +2 sizes, black or silver). They had to re make the tooling for the centres so this is where the major cost is. I wouldn't have thought she would have got a tool for both made but I don't really know. A quick phone call to her (she doesn't do email very well so don't rely on that) would confirm.

As I understand it Sue was having 100 K.O. Elan wheels made. It appears my order is No 101 and 102 ???. So if you are interested please get your orders in soon as that will help me. Hopefully it will trigger a second batch.
The Plus 2 type will be later.

Keith, I received 5 a few weeks ago. I think I was early on the list. A couple of the wheels had been treated badly by the courier and were damaged, but Sue was a champ and replaced them with no problems at all. I believe the options were unpainted, silver, black gloss, black satin.
I haven't fitted the wheels, but at first sight they appear well made and of good quality.
Counting the wheels currently on the car, I have 12 old steel wheels, some the old riveted 'Rubery Owen' type, some with welded centres. All of them are crooked to a greater or lesser extent. I had resigned myself to fitting Minilites, but hopefully Sue has saved the day.

Andy,
Provided the centres are good they can have new rims fitted. Don't throw them away.
