Reduced stroke rear dampers for CV driveshafts.

Anyone know the correct open length for the rear dampers, required to limit droop, to suit MM type CV driveshafts, please?

Not sure but I bought some AVO dampers from Kelvedon which are 172mm to the start of the D section from the screw in cap on the tube. I understand these are the 'modern' limited stroke for CV shafts.

By contrast, my Konis, which I understand to be std stroke, are 202mm on the same basis.

Plus 2 by the way but I think they're the same?

Ah well it was all supposed to go into a WIKI to make a cohesive look-up system, but the word from Jeff was that using the wiki as it is at present made the site unstable.

For future reference on this issue:
Reduced length dampers supplied by Matty (Koni), TTR (Koni and also their own make), Kelvedon (currently Spax, - they previous supplied AVO) are all approximately 50mm (2 inches) shorter than the originals. Additionally Sue and Mick Miller used to suggest 50mm.
Note the early AVOs supplied by Kelvedon were 3.75 inches shorter. I've had these and are problematic, especially with fitting.
