Interesting period +2 alloy.

Apologies if this photo has been posted before, have just come across it when searching for +2 images.
It appears to be a US advertising or launch brochure and shows a +2 with a good looking set of period alloys I've never seen on a +2 before, although they do remind me of something else of the period; can't think what.
I assumed they're aftermarket wheels, but that seems strange on a brochure? Were the US spec cars issued with a different alloy wheel option to the UK?

I have not seen a Federal car with the alloy wheels used on the 130/4 or 130/5 in the rest of the world. I wonder why they were not sold with them?

Very interesting photo, I have not seen this before. I guess it might be a US federal market +2 given the eight-sided "Nader" wheel nuts. The model is obscuring much of what I would like to see on the fascia. The side marker lamp on the rear flank is in a very low position compared that on other federal +2s, perhaps an early one?

There have been a few threads including the JAP Magna wheels:
