Current thinking on 13" tires for S1-S2 Elans (2016)

PostPost by: khamai » Fri Jun 10, 2016 8:35 pm

What's the current thinking, recommendations for tires for stock S1/S2 Elans?

I've got Bridgestone RE92 that are 10 years old and they are well beyond what I consider safe (still lots of tread, but OLD).

Thanks,
Kiyoshi

I put Vredestein Sprint 145R13 on our '66 S2 S/E. Love them (or let me put it this way - we love the car and driving the car so much that those tires are not noticed to interfere with the experience).

Here is where we got them. A local independent tire shop installed them and road-force balanced them.

Don't think you can get a good look at the tires but as you can see, they just look like they belong:
