Huco Fuel pump

Huco don't mention horizontal mounting.
But a note from Anthony at FRC does.
Give him a ring?

Strange Anthony at FRC seems to know something Huco (who designed it) don't.
I think i prefer to follow Huco the makers.

Received the Latvian/Ebay Huco 133000 pump today that I ordered last week. I really shouldn't have worried, very good service. Not too bad for £77.60 all in.

I asked Anthony at FRC to explain his reasons for the pump being mounted horizontally. Will advise

Anthony's answer to the question of horizontal mounting was ' correct fitment' !

Evading the issue perhaps?

I havn't yet fitted the Huco pump, and am still using the mechanical one.

However a useful way of pulling fuel through after a lay up, is to attach a 100ml plasic syringe to the fuel inlet pipe and draw some fuel through a few times before attempting start up.Disconnect between each draw and push the piston back in.

Saves drinking petrol!

That’s a faff.. I’d just fit a Huco pull pump under the bonnet with a safety cutout. Safer than a boot installed pusher as the main line wouldn’t be under pressure in use.
