Airbox back plate gaskets

I am about to assemble my Dellorto carbs and airbox assembly. I am not sure where the gaskets should go. Do they fit between the carb body and the airbox back plate or between the carb trumpet and back plate?

I would put them between the carb body and the backplate to prevent the leakage of any un-filtered air
