NEW everything: synchronizing yr WEBERS

after your regular 10 thousand dollar (just parts!!) rebuild (with remanufactured 31?s) and many hours (50?) of lovely measuring, checking and fastening of vital components (all new except the forged rods) you get frustrated when you start a perfectly pre-set TC and you unplug cylinders 1 and 2 AND thereafter 3 and 4 you notice a gigantic difference - so u fiddle around with the 6 in question adjustments and nothing really changes BUT being radical (?) or scientific (??) goofball you try switching the carbs ------------------ although undriven (and far away from a rolling dyno!!!) B I N G O: without any further investigation: no doubt a great jump forward, but no explanations - do U have any ----- greetings from the land of many many radars (traffic cameras/ speed traps) with a tolerance of 2mph! so here you really need to know where U have to go ------------------------------------------------------------------------ after this: i just started my unreligious prayers sandy

I'm not sure if you are asking anything here or are describing success. :D

However with (as you say) so many adjusting screws on the carburettors, it is best to do the adjustments systematically, with measuring instruments.

Sounds to me like the front carburettors are not letting through the same amount of air as the rears. Simple adjustment, using either a Gunson Flow Balancer, something similar, or a piece of garden hose held to your ear.
Only alter one thing at a time, or else you can get in a bit of a muddle.

Get them set up on a rolling road!
