Correct Electrical Fuel Pump

Converting over to a Weber Head motor. Appears that Facet has many various types. I found this one that I think will work. It's a FEP 60 FV with a 36 GPH and 2.75 to 4 PSI. Is this the correct pump I need? Thanks Allan

Allan,
That should do nicely, the important part is the 2.75 to 4 PSI as this will remove the need for a pressure regulator and won't overwhelm your webers.

that is what I use in my Elan - no regulator needed and good for 180 hp with the standard fuel line

Looks a good choice. Is it noisy?.....

I went looking for a quiet one with good flow and low pressure and bought a 'Posiflow' from Facet. It is almost silent.

Teamed it up with facet's own small adjustable reg' unit which I was advised to set at 1.5 PSI. It has so far proven to be excellent. My reason for the change to electric pump was to remove an oil leaking mech' item and at the same time remove the requirement for the primer bulb to fill the carbs when the car has been sitting for more than (say) three weeks or so.

Killed two birds with one stone.

From what I had read, the less expensive sqaure Facet pumps were quite noisy ($35.00). I have one in my other Elan and didn't think it was that bad compared to the factory pumps on my 911S or Alfa. They just buzzed when you keyed the ignition and then was overpowered by the engine noise. But it does give you confirmation that it was working. The barrel shaped Facet pumps were OEM in some early carburated Maseratis and Ferraris, and was suppose to be much quiter. I found this one on ebay for $70 (usually $100) so why not? Just have to find a good out of the way location to mount it.

Sure... Sounds great. The facet 'cube' is indeed a noisy little sod. A friend has on in his car and it makes quite a din. Made me go look for a quieter one. I took some advice from a couple of suppliers then bought the recomm'd item from ebay.. Sweet. It is very quiet..
