Air Filter

Hello listers!
I ordered an air filter from Paul Matty for my standard air filter box in the nose of my +2.
As you can see on the picture it's slightly wider and thicker than the original one that fits like a glove.
Paul Matty told me to to squash it but the filter housing is a rather weak construction and even though i put quite a lot of pressure on it i wasn't able to get the plate to seal properly. The filter is simply the wrong size.
Does anybody know where i could order an standard filter thats fits?

Hi Jens,
This issue was raised recently - it seems a fairly common problem. It is possible to trim down the new filter to make it fit better although it does not matter too much if the top cover of the canister does not seat fully as any gap is on the "dirty" side of the filter element. It doesn't look right though.

Regards,
Edit:- beat me to the button Brian !
