Petrol Tank Drain Plug

Beginning to start on the +2 and the first job is to drain the tank.
Just to be sure, am I right in thinking that the drain plug has a hexagonal head
of approx half inch or nine sixteenths diameter, which when viewed looking on
top of the tank and facing forward, is on the LH side of the tank nearest the
front nearside wing ?
From underneath, this would be above the driveshaft and not quite plumb
under the inner rotoflex.
Thanks,
Stuart.

Stuart,
Just had a look at my old fuel tank-replaced it with an alloy one from a guy in SW England. The drain plug is on the LH side of the tank base at the rear of the tank. When viewed from underneath it is at the back of the rear wheel arch above the drive shaft. There may be other nuts showing in the vicinity-these are used to attach the tank retaining bands.
Hope this helps
