Dellorto Jet Sizes

PostPost by: Alex » Wed Jun 04, 2008 7:40 am

Hi,

Does anyone know how the jet number relates to its physical diameter. My +2 has '33' pump jets fitted but I believe it should have'40s'. If it went on diameter in thou that would be 1mm, which it clearly isn't. I have heard that it could be a flow measurement - say 33ml/min etc.

If anyone has information on the jet numbers relation to its size, I'd be greatful to hear.

Regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Depends on which +2 you have.

I just changed the idles (slow), mains and pump jets on my +2S 130. I.e. big valve.

According to Miles Wilkins Twink book:

! Donestic S/E ! Euro S/E ! Domestic ! Euro
! small valve ! small v. ! Big v. ! Big v.

choke ! 30 ! 30 ! 33 ! 32
mains ! 115 ! 120 ! 120 ! 120
slow/idle ! 50 ! 45L ! 50 ! 50L
pump ! 40 ! 33 ! 35 ! 33

Hope this helps.

(sorry, my formatting seems to dissapear when I post this.)

Ooops.

Just reread your question.

From How to Build & Power Tune Webber & Dellorto...."

The sizes on the Pump jets refer to hole size in hundreths of a millimetre.

Take care,
