Electric fuel pump

PostPost by: elanmac » Mon Nov 12, 2007 1:10 pm

If anyone is contemplating fitting an electric fuel pump in the near future there are some inertia switches on e-bay at ?7-99. I have purchased one and I am very pleased with it. Post free and next day delivery.

Please forgive my ignorance but why and inertia switch? Is it a safety to shut down the fuel pump in event of accident?

I went to the junk yard and found one off an 89 mustang. It is in the trunk . If I recall located on the left side by the taillights. Cheap $5.
