Fuel tank mounting

(assembling a +2 that I didn't disassemble)
The fuel tank has a sort of wide-V shaped bottom. Does it sit V-like or is one side flat on the body? What holds it securely (a V not being the most stable arrangement).
Thanks
Keith

Keith,
The tank is held by straps as per manual with a thick layer of felt underneath.
The photo is the only one I have. It's not a standard car as it shows extra spacers to raise the tank and allow the the outlet connector to remain within the car for a Zetec conversion. Is does show standard straps.
regards
Mike

Thanks Mike - I'm doing the same conversion. Is there an elbow in the line out of the tank to the swirl pot? And how do you route the lines through the body back into the chassis?
Also, I was worried that the extra height of the tank would be too high against the rear shelf?
Thanks, Keith

Keith,
You're a bit ahead of me. I'm sure I will use a standards banjo connection - the next photo is a closeup from the one I posted earlier.
I've also added a pic of the Spyder swirl pot etc.
I've taken lots of photos of the Spyder conversion to help with the lack of detailed instructions, I could mail you a CD if you would like to PM me your address.
Good luck!
Mike
