throttle cable

PostPost by: rdssdi » Sat Nov 18, 2006 3:10 pm

I have a replacement throttle cable for my +2. The carb end of the cable
stops at the hole in the intake manifold. Actually it is the emissions "pre
heater".

Was the original cable end screwed or affixed to this? It appears so flimsy
as the replacement just lays there.

The cable end is not fixed in the hole. It just lays there, as you
indicated, but the throttle return spring holds it snug.

As I have fit K&N filters, I will have to fabricate a bracket for the return
spring. It originally ran to the air box.
