tank sender sealing

The little rivnut tool linked to above arrived this am. tested .It works a treat.

I now have two fuctioning tools! :wink:

Anyone wishing to borrow one? A small donation to Prostate Cancer UK is all that is required. I will even cover the postage to you.

Tank modification has transformed the car (smell wise!!) No more petrol smelling boot contents etc. Just amazed at the difference..

Another fantastic example of Lotus under engineering and so easy to fix at the design stage. They must have been driven nuts with warranty work... So unnecessary! and so bloody stupid..

So.. Petrol leakage down the screw threads now def' a thing of the past.

Anybody doing the same job? the tools (and some rivnuts) are here for you. Tools would be a loan. you can keep the rivnuts though.

I still wish they had used a sender that used a hole in the TOP of the tank.
