Difficulty cold starting

I have never used the chokes on Dellortos on my Elans and no problem.
It seems you need to choose the method you prefer but not use both methods at the same time :roll:

+1 on never using the choke with my Dellorto's (chokes aren't hooked up in fact). 2-3 pumps and she fires in any weather that I drive in.

I would be mindful of Tim Engels post (3rd one in this string) about the type of accelerator pump jet used. If you have the ones that point perpendicular to flow then use of the chokes might be wiser. The few sets of Dellorto's I've owned all had the jet pointed inline with airflow.
