Just got Keith latest version in the post yesterday - busy racing the next couple of weekends and then working overseas for a week but I will try them in the Elan and Plus 2 after that. Looking forward to trying these as Keith says they are a noticeable improvement. Hard to believe they can get much better than the earlier versions i have in my plus 2 but we will see.

I have recently set the fuel level to 25mm (as recommended by Keith) and fitted a set of Hypojet jackets and 20thou Hypojets to my bog standard Elan, and it has eliminated the slight off idle hesitation. Will get some of Keith's E tubes as well and see if I can lean it out a bit.

I have been using Keith's hypojets, e-tubes and float level setting tools. Float level is crucial to good running, and Keith's sight glass/air pressure method works great.
The hypojets have eliminated the off idle hesitation and the flat spot under 3000 rpm from the Sprint cams.
I am still working to optimize the e-tubes in my case, but its getting better and better. Fuel mileage has improved too. It turned out it was veryy rich on the idle circuit with the 50F8 jets.

Sounds exceptional all this - will it work on European fuel, too?
And where can I find more info, please? Do I need to sign up for the yahoo group posted and sift through all the messages? Does franck have a website where some of this is explained?

Yes they will, probably better if the EU does not use oxygenates such as ethanol or MTBE in your fuel. We use approximately 10% ethanol here. It affects mileage and power, with a slight reduction in emissions.

Keiths jets are a fantastic improvement to a Weber twin cam. i have had various versions in my Plus 2 for a few years now as he did the development work.
It transformed the low down torque with the car which has a standard 1558cc big valve engine happily pulling 5th gear from 1500 rpm
They were a great improvement even in their early versions but Keith is a perfectionist and kept working on it to make it a practical and easy to install setup up. Great to see he has finally got them where he is ready to sell on Ebay.

I`ve been waiting for someone else to ask the question to avoid showing (again) my ignorance; does Keith offer a kit of all the necessary bits with instructions? I wouldn`t know an emulsion tube from a fallopian tube and don`t need to know how each bit works, just that it does. What would I need for a standard big-valve engine?

Keith does offer all the bits - there aren't that many. However the tubes need to get matched to your engine and that can involve a little trial and error. Plus some other jetting may need to be changed to match everything up. Keith provides loads of support, to people that are using his kit, through his forum.
However you really need to know how to tune your carbs. Before you spend money on shiny bits you should should have a go with his white paper. You'll gain valuable knowledge about your carbs and get amazing improvements. If you can follow that then you will be able to cope with fitting his e-tubes.
With the white paper you can properly balance the airflow, use one of these - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Search.do ... nchrometer - NOT one of these http://www.gunson.co.uk/item.aspx?cat=668&item=1813. Get a spot on 25mm float level. Get your idle correct with the butterflies in the correct place (depends on you webers).
Careful because once you catch the bug you'll be fitting wideband AFR meters to the exhaust and have an unhealthy fixation with the number 12.5

I had some email contact with Keith last year when there was some posting activity on here about his advances. As I recall he was carrying out further tests with UK fuels due to the different mix and lesser results in the UK. Has that been done with yourself and now he/you are happy with the end results for UK fuel?
