Twinc Fuel Injection

John,

Sounds like you are well on the way then.
The MAF meter should work ok and as the MS will support it then why not go for it and give it a try. If you are going to map it yourself then its only time you are using. You can always go back to A-N in the future if you needed to. It would still do as an air temp sensor.

I like the idea of using the dizzy hole as a support for the coil pack.

"If you did do the Zetec then it would probably sort of work on a plenum but not TB's."

why?

This is in relation to the EEC-IV. I have never yet seen a system that can run set up with a plenum based cal using a MAF meter or a MAP sensor that can also run TB's. Maybe a MAF can work as its not working on the post throttle plate pressures but the pre throttle airflow, but its still going to have very different characteristics and I would think it would probably run badly.
On a plenum, if it were a Zetec, then it should be fine except for the various parts missing that may cause faults and limp home conditions.

It is good if the EEC will ignore the immobiliser. I can only go by my time spent at Dunton and the need for the ECU and immob to be matched up before it would crank.

Ian

"you may have to reposition the crank sensor from memory it is 90 deg BTDC " Yes,have taken out of the Zetec block at 3:00 and it is going in the Twinc sandwich plate at 6:00,with the machined 36-1 positioned so that it does register at 90 BTDC..
Looking to go ready made MSextraEFI from Phil Ringwood so hopefully the majority of soldering and base mapwork done....but no doubt there will be plenty of questions...and tinkering...
