Fuel Tank Breathing System

Hi guys,
I have a stromberg running plus 2 and I would like to get rid of the two long breather hoses of the fuel tank.
I came up with three possible solutions:
1) put a plug in one of the tank breather holes and attach the other one to the fuel filler neck (weld a nut in the filler neck which allows you to screw in a nipple which you can undo in order to remove the filler neck if necessary)
2) connect both tank breather hoses together and at the end of it you would fit a one way vacium valve which allows to suck air into the tank but does not allow petrol or air going the other way
3) a combination of the two
I hope some one has already experience with this matter and your help would be appreciated

Try Spyder for idea's - they supply an exchange modified tank filler neck to allow the connection of a breather pipe.
