I've previously done them myself but considering farming it out as I simply don't have the time.
Twin Weber 40's ('68 Plus 2). I would like them restored and rebuilt including vapour blasting, screws plated etc - any recommendations and typically what sort of cost might be involved?
Cheers

A couple of years ago Paul at weber-carbs.co.uk did a very good job on a pair of very grubby Webers for me. £150 each for the rebuild plus parts. I think his prices have increased slightly since.

I did my Dellorto's myself recently and a rough cost breakdown of parts and services was:
Vapour Blasting & ultrasonic cleaning - £30
Service Kit - £120
Plating (Doug Taylor) linkages and screws - £70
Spindle Bearings - £16
So I have the carbs back to as good as new for around £240. If I had given the carbs to Dellorto (Eurocarb) they would charge around £600 for the work without plating. I reckon with plating it would be around £700.
Hope this helps.
