Tall-block Stromberg needles?

Has anyone here got experience with a tall block engine with a Stromberg head?
Usual suspects for the Elan are B1G, B1Y, B2AR, with a tendency towards B2AR for later cars.
I've got a 1690cc tall block with sprint cams, sprint size valves, approx 10.5:1 compression, high level balance pipe and non-emission carbs ie fixed jet orifice and adjustable-needle air valve / pistons.
I'll be fitting new jet orifices and needles so that I'm not chasing worn parts, but really don't want to be spending a fortune on different jets if I can help it if there are some that I should definitely avoid.
As far as I'm aware the jet orifices are 0.100", I can't see any need to change the size?
Any help / discussion welcome.
