Weber float cover threads.

Does anyone know the thread pitch of DCOE 18 float covers where the fuel union connects? There is a burr on the brass insert on mine so I just want to clean the threads. I figured to get things moving I would replace the cover with a spare, also from a DCOE 18, but the cover is different (see picture). I will probably just purchase a metric thread set but curious to know if the threads deviate from standard metric sizes.
Notice the covers are shaped differently in the area above and to left of the float pivot. The float pivots are also positioned differently. Again, these are both 40 DCOE 18..

No. I mean the side of the cover where fuel inlet is threaded.
Is anybody familiar with the different carb bodies in the DCOE 18 family?
Thanks
