Weber Auxiliary Venturi - What Size Do I Have?

PostPost by: Stevie-Heathie » Wed Apr 26, 2017 12:46 pm

Hi folks.

I've provided my Rolling Road tuner with all the info I have on my S3's Weber DCOE40s (size of jets, choke, emulsion tubes, etc). The only data point I don't have is the size of my auxiliary venturis. If I can get this info to him before my RR session he will have suitable alternates available on the day, in case they are needed.

So - please could a Weber Jedi please advise the best way for me to find out what I have inside my carbs? Hopefully I won't need to strip them down or remove the carbs from the car.

Stock for an Elan is 4.5 I believe.

TIA as ever
Best

Hi,
Standard size is 4.5, usually stamped close to the locating spring clip.
Clearly you have complete confidence in your tuner but there are only 3 Aux Venturis available for the 40 DCOE, 3.5, 4.5 Without air horns. 3.5, 4.5 With air horns 4.5 with extended air horns
BTW. 4.5 = the narrowest section T of the spray nozzle.
Not sure but I think the Twin cam uses 4.5 air horn version.
Ron.
