Weber carbs, which ones to use?

I have a pair of 45 DCOE 13 carbs on my 2.0litre alloy twin cam race engine, but I have been given a set of later 45 DCOE 152 carbs. These are the genuine Italian made (not Spanish) models. I am thinking the newer carbs may be an improvement, anyone have any thoughts? I would naturally be swapping the existing jets, etc, into the 152's

I think the major differences that can effect driveablity are the air by pass and probably more/improved progression holes.
I guess the probably offer a little improvement and better tuning capability.

The 152's are better, as mbell says. They are much easier to get balanced as they have the extra air bypass screws, which particularly help balancing barrels in one carb, if the throttle spindle has a slight twist.
Don't be put off by Spanish 152's either, there's a huge amount of cr*p talked about them, when in reality, it's only the castings that aren't quite so crisp. They are far, far better, and easier to set up than an old knackered pair of 45's. You may find that the 152's prefer the next size up idle jet, otherwise should be fine swapping all else over,
