Stromberg Jets

I haven't been able to get my '69 Federal +2 project to run quite right yet. It has early emission Strombergs, and I am now sourcing needles as they didn't look quite perfect to me. Then I looked at the jets carefully (these are the non-adjustable ones), and I don't think I like the way they look:
Do these look bad? Are the non-adjustable jets replaceable? I'm not sure from the Stromberg references I have.
Thanks for any feedback.

Yes and yes.
They don't look great, and you can get new ones, probably from your favourite supplier.

Agreed, at least in the pictures they don't look good, needles must also look bad.
One option is to have them completely rebuilt. I used Joe Curto years ago and was very happy with his work. He also sells parts for those who want to do it yourself.

What does it take to retrofit with adjustable needle/jets?
With the advent of modest cost A/F devices, one should be able to dial in Strombergs quite nicely, especially over the road.
Where can alternate needles/jets be purchased?
I know there are some catalogs/tables showing what needles were manufactured and needle diameters over the range of the exposed needle. Anybody have a source?

Don't you therefore have adjustable jets? If so, I would think you don't need the change.
For anything carb, I would go with Joe Curato, above. Very helpful, you will need proper pistons as well. I found odd needles in mine, Joe is sorting me out.

Burlen in England make and sell ZS carbs and spares. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
So is Joe Curto too. I have bought from both.
