Weber 'o' ring seals ?

PostPost by: l10tus » Sat Jun 06, 2015 1:21 am

Whilst rebuilding my twin 40's can anyone help with some info. please ?

Q: does the 'Vacuum take off cover' (the smaller cheese headed brass screw cover on top of the Venturi on DCOE 40's, item 48 on the Weber parts list) - have a seal or 'o' ring fitted to it?

I can see one inline to be fitted on the larger brass jet cover, but can't see if the smaller brass cover should have any type of seal ??

All replies appreciated.

If it's the progression hole cover you're referring to, which I think it is looking at the diagram, then no seal. Just screw the cover in tight.
