HI GUYS CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME TIPS ON SETTING UP CARBS

GSL,

Your question is a bit to broard for any of us to try and help............what type of carbs do you have? Lotus fitted three different types and what do you need help with ? fitting them? setting them up? getting them balanced? overhaoling them.

Photo's please if you do not know what type you have, also take a peek at the archives top right you will find lots of information there.

sounds like air is getting in somehow when it shouldn't ..
over to someone else ... I've no dellorto experience but assume they have the same 'o' ring setup as webbers which can be source of air leak . i.e nothing to do with tuning carbs

Sticky throttle cable stopping the carbs from closing properly is something else to check.

Out of balance so one carb signifcantly more open than the other when you return to the throttle stop also can cause a high idel speed ( and usually rough idle with it)
