Throttle Linkage Help Needed

I'm assembling a Weber S3 engine out of boxes and can't quite figure out the exact original pieces required and how they interconnect. I'm trying to keep the car factory stock and am referring to the throttle linkage and large return spring.
Can anyone supply detailed pictures? I've searched both the factory manual and the Brookland book and can't find examples. Next mission is to seek out the Wilkins book.
My youngest son is getting married in three weeks and the women in my life have taken control...temporarily as I'm now seeking respite in my Lotus man-cave.
Thank you

Hello John,
I am unsure whether mine is having the original set up but it is of an older date to put it like that.
I have attached a picture. I believe I have some close ups and from different angles at home but I will not be able to post before the end of next week. Let me know if you want to see more details.

Hi John
Not sure this will help much, the open slot in the barral faces the the closed end of the throttle lever, then the spring goes through and prevents the throttle cable from poping out. The outer sleave of the cable pushes against the lever and the cable end with the swedged end is restrainded by the steel back of the air box. The other end of the spring goes into a hole in the (?). I need to go and look as I don't remember, not exactly the help you need but it will give you a bit of info to help you I hope until someone else come back with a more definative answer.

a couple of pictures out of the S1 Elan Manual, same picture just more detail in one of them.
