Fuel line

Hi all.
I want to avoid using the standard black plastic pipe for the fuel line. I was planning to use copper with a short rubber section onto the tank banjo coupling, and a short rubber section onto the fuel pump. I am looking for a banjo coupling with an outlet onto which I can jubilee clip the rubber hose. Has anyone found one that fits the +2?
Any other suggestions for how to make the joint onto the tank?
Thanks.
Sean.

Sean,
For my tank connection, the metal pipe coming out of the tank is 1/4" O.D. so I used 1/4" O.D. brake pipe to carry the fuel forward through the pre-drilled holes in the upper right corners of the chassis bulkheads (with rubber grommets). I went to the hardware store and purchased a 1/4" coupler. The two 1/4" pipes were connected with the coupler using 1/4" compression fittings around the 1/4" pipes. I did use standard rubber fuel hose and hose clamps between the pipe and the fuel pump. Hope this helps.

Sean, I've done exactly the arrangement you are talking about on my +2 rebuild, I too struggled for a new banjo to do the job.
I have run 5/16" steel kunifer through the top hole of chassis and am runnining a foot of aeroquip to the tank and the same to the pump.
I needed a new 1/4 x 1/4 bsp banjo on the tank as opposed to the standard 1/8 x 1/4 you have............these people have them in stock.

I had a 1/4 bsp fitting swaged on to my aeroquip to screw directly on to the new tank banjo.........you can just clamp your pipe tail/piece of pipe in the banjo if you go the jubilee clip way (it's supplied with olives etc.........just phone the guy and he puts it in the post the same day, it cost me a tenner if I remember but I was very happy with that after failing to find one elsewhere.
What I'm struggling with now is that I need 2 tails for my glass top ac pump to take the in and out 5/16 aeroquip.
Hope this helps,
Kenny

Kenny, that's just what I was looking for. Thanks for the help. I'm trying to work out what aeroquip and kunifer are now - sure I should know this but there you go.
For the flexible sections I was planning to use the sort of rubber fuel hose that you can get in halfords.
I'll speak to your contact as you suggested.
Sean.

Sean, Aeroquip is just steel braided hose and will do the same job as normal rubber hose.....I'm using braided pipe as I had 6 foot left spare in my garage.
Kunifer is just like bendy copper brake pipe only its steel. Again it does the same job. I just went for the Kunifer as I felt it may stand up to any chaffing better, but I would not worry about using copper.
Glad the banjo will do the job for you.
Any probs PM me
