Fuel Pump Check Valves

I have two fuel pumps, and both of them have faulty check valves. I checked them on the pump before I put it on by blowing and sucking on the inlet/outlet fittings to ensure they only worked one way. At the time when I cranked the engine over I had loads of gas up to the carbs.
Fast forward a week later, and can't get gas up to the carbs. Took the banjos off and blew on one of them while closing off the other, and could hear bubbles in the gas tank, so I know it's the check valve.
Can these valves be sourced and replaced? If so, how do they come out, as it appears the metal around them is peened over in about 3 places each to prevent them from coming out.
thx for the help. one step closer to ignition...

Hi
As far as I know the valves can still be bought- try Burlen Fuel Services on 01722 412 500. I bought a kit from them back in 92 for about ?10. This included the diaphragm also. The only way to remove the old valves is to (carefully) "unpeen" them. Incidentally the valves are all the same- they are just reversed when fitted.
If Burlen don't have them just try a carb specialist.
Alternatively I've got a new non-glass top pump as supplied by Quorn which I don't need. A tenner and it's yours!
Regards
