Knock sensor location

Hi everyone,
I see some references to knock sensors in posts on the forum, but has anyone tried adding one to the twin cam and if so how did it perform, and what was the location(s) tried?
Based on a bit of research I've got hold of a Bosch wideband knock sensor and was thinking of attaching it to the blanking plate fitted where the mechanical fuel pump used to locate, but perhaps there is a better location.
Many thanks,
Will

Hi Simon,
I was thinking of something more like this, i.e. not on the flexible part of the plate itself but using one of the holes.

Hi John,
Thanks for the photo. You can see the corresponding area on my block in the last post, but it looks a little different from yours.
What kind of block have you got? And did you drill and tap it yourself or was that how it came?
Cheers,
Will
