Engine over-revving at idle

PostPost by: Tmac897 » Mon Jul 01, 2024 5:49 pm

New engine rebuild. Engine starts fine, but immediately starts accelerating. Tach is not working yet, so hard to tell how fast it’s running. But obviously much faster than a normal idle speed. I’d estimate at least 3000 RPMs. I haven’t run it for more than a few seconds at a time yet, since no break-in yet.

Throttle cable seems to be installed properly. Idle speed adjustment seems fine. Idle mix at about 1 full turn.
