Can anyone tell me what this is?

Hi there. Slight dunce question here but I've reassembled the clutch and flywheel back onto the engine. However when i was reviewing the illustrations from the manual I noticed a part that I was not familiar with.

I'm picking this project up after a long hiatus and just wanted to double check I've not missed anything.

Have highlighted in the photo!

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me :-)

Hard to tell exactly with the data presented but it appears to be the insert that fits in the flywheel for the pilot bearing to fit into for the Lotus 5 speed ? Not used in the 4 speed as the pilot bearing fits into the crank shaft itself.

cheers

Spigot bearing for 4 bolt crank, usually sintered bronze takes larger diameter gearbox input shaft.
