Cylinder Head Oil splash plate

This plate bolts down under the Cam cap washers/nuts near the oil filler & deflects oil from being thrown up at the Oil fill cap & stopping the leak at the cap seal.

Here's the design if anyones interested & a drawing to reproduce

If I were to implement such a mod, I would do it as was done in the "good old days" according to your link, i.e. above the camshaft bearing nuts, not below...

Yes, nut not required , just held in place by the posts/nuts and cam cover/ribs ( and a little spring tension )...

I'd rather have the camshaft bearings held the way they were intended to (without risking side stress or poor setting by having non independent fasteners), and I'd rather be able to remove the plate without messing with the camshaft ... having the plate above would also help with high lift profile ;) and would allow for a lighter alloy plate while a steel one would be required below the main fastener.

But in any case I prefer being able to see what's going on through the oil filling hole, and from all places that is not where I have leaks so far so I leave it as is.
