head bolts

I am pleased to say that my engine rebuild is coming along nicely, no issues at present. I have not, at this stage considered changing the head stud bolts for new. In discussion with Lotus Marques (Aussie) it is not a requirement every time you split the head. I have checked mine over and to the eye no marks, pitting etc apart from one stud that has some pitting towers the bolt end. I do have some odd washer selections and one split washer.
If i decide to re-use bolts, can anyone specify the washers so I can try and source these in NZ,
Many thanks

Washers that are too soft or not the right size will not spread the load properly from the tension of the bolt. I had a set made from 4140HT alloy steel. There are a number of vintage race shops in NZ that service the twincam. I would suggest contacting them.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

Suggest just order a set from QED in the UK. Postage to NZ won't cost much. Bread and butter parts.
