When using a car, if you suspect that the car generator is not generating electricity, or the charging indicator light is on, you can use the following methods to determine whether the car generator is damaged.
1. Use a multimeter to measure the power generation voltage. If the voltage shows between 12.5V and 13V, the voltage is low, and the display between 13 and 14.8V is normal. If the battery voltage is measured with a dedicated digital meter, it is normal between 12.5V and 13V.
2. Check whether the IG terminal has electricity. If the IG terminal is not electricity, it is a circuit failure. You need to check the generator insurance, circuit and relay.
