Hi,

I agree with John.

I recently had the same problem with my heater after firing the engine up for the first time in 20 years. The engine was up to temperature but nothing from the heater. It turned out to be an air lock and the heater now nearly takes the skin off your legs when up to temp.

The only other possibilities might be a blockage or a faulty heater valve?

Rob.

If the sponge seal around the heater core has disintegrated over time them the airflow into the heater box will take the easiest route i.e. around the core and not through it.

Cheers

I think if you take both Heater hoses off at the Engine end. Then flush through using Garden hose pipe. Reconnect low Hose to Engine near Dissy. Fill other Hose so Heater is full. Fit Hose to Thermostat Housing.
Run Engine.
I had this problem before and was the fix.
Good luck

Years ago mine was similar, flushing it out was the cure, got brown lumps coming out like small Maltesers! Worked fine after that!
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!
