Rear oil seal carrier

Has anyone ever tried fitting one of these from a Ford Ka Endura-E engine to a Lotus or crossflow block?
Looks like there's a possibility it may fit and would give you an oil seal that is more easily replaceable. I'm fairly confident the oil seal itself is the same.
