I'm considering upgrading the power I'm my beloved Spyder zetec Christopher Neil plus 2 elan. It is a standard blacktop 170bhp at present. I'm considering cam Chang and ported and polished heads to get to 200-220bhp.
Can anyone recommend a set up that would work well.
Also who would you ask to do this near derby burton on Trent area?
Advice appreciated.

I quite like the Burton Power website for suggestions on upping power http://www.burtonpower.com/tuning-guide ... guide.html
Not near you, but their service has always been good for me (no affiliation, just a satisfied customer). Head and cams is an easy DIY fit

I have driven a +2 with a 220BHP zetec by Raceline, the same people who manufacture the water rails and sumps to convert zetec said to RWD.
Very torquey and extremely quick, I had the car for a week. It was running Jenvey throttle bodies and Emerald 3D ECU wasted spark closed loop. Absolutely no down sides apart from the cost at around ?5000 assuming you have the engine to upgrade in the first place as I believe you have and also the jenveys and emerald?
My 185 BHP +2 felt a little tame after driving that, but it's still a lot quicker than most stuff.
