Weber big valve head

PostPost by: jmahall » Fri Apr 03, 2015 6:47 pm

I have a fellow who's interested in my spare Weber big valve head but don't have a value figure in mind.
Any help as to what the market value would be?

The short answer is anything between ?0 and ?4000, depending on condition. If it is mint, new rebuild (or new) flat and well within thickness tolerance, complete with perfect valves / seats / buckets / bearings and good cams then it's towards the top end.......especially with an invoice for professional rebuild by a known expert. If it's at or below the thickness tolerance, cracked, waterways rotted, warped, then towards the bottom end.

Something that has a good thickness, no cracks, no waterway oxidisation and is flat, but needs valves / valve seats / guides / buckets and cam bearings would probably go for around ?1500 I would guess. You can work it up or down from there depending on condition!
