Anyone here using Maxspeed products from Ebay in their engines?
Billet steel cranks for $2K seems very reasonable. And the Conrods?

I have never personally used them but a local well respected engine builder has used them and thinks they are OK and he has had no failures with them that I am aware of. Visually they look OK, but I have worried about the quality of the steel at the price they sell for.

I asked my engine builder what he thought of them and he said no way he would use them in a competition engine. Are they better than the cast 125e rods? Probably.
As Roland points out, one of the main issues is the steel used. Some years back, there was a scare in the aerospace industry associated with counterfeit bolts used in critical applications. It was a hell of a mess. High strength, high quality components beg for a pedigree.
My friend Tim put a set of the 5.23 inch rods in his xflow stroke twin cam. The engine is up and running on the road but not yet fully broken in.
I opted for best available in my new engine, Kiddie steel crank and Carrillo rods with the multiphase bolts. My engine builder said go with the best and forget about the bottom end.
