Hi

Anyone recognise this air filter box, the filter may be AC Delco? at least it has an AC mark on it. What vintage?

Looks a lot like 3rd gen type lotus air cleaner element, ie ?clat, elite, excel, esprit

This looks very much like an aftermarket conversion that was available from many of the Lotus parts vendors perhaps 20 years ago. It used a Jaguar XJ6 filter element. I had one for a while before going back to the standard Lotus parts.

Yep, an aftermarket part. I also bought one from Chris Neil back in the 70s/80s and used it until I managed to get a replacement back plate a few years ago and returned to the OEM set-up.

I "think" it was the same filter as on the later 4 seat cars but I don't know for sure as I just bought replacements from CN's.
