Cedric asked for some info, here is the cam cover
...
I use Stainless nylocks
over stainless washers
over fibre washers
and use silicon to make a semi-permenant gasket
note the silicon hose bits fitted to the cam cover studs
and the anti-splash plate..
and removed
a little bit filed away to help prise the cover off
just a bit of Ali drilled and shaped

So the silicone tubing put around the screws help to prevent the oil to leak out...? Good idea then

Phil,
Do you, or anyone, know if these gaskets are available in the UK?

I had a Cam cover gasket Identical to that i bought from Burton a bit back, It was expensive i seem to remember (4 times the price of a Cork one) and its not reusable just like the cork.
The annoying thing is i only had it on a year before i had to remove the cam cover (can't remember why) so i went back to Cork. Thing is i've never had any oil leak issues with any of my Cam Cover Gaskets?? The cork i only use once, Buy them in a sheet so they don't deform, fit it dry and make sure the two surfaces are thoroughly clean / degrease. You can tell if you have done it right if the next time you have to remove the Cam cover its stuck down so takes effort to remove.

Cometic gasket - reusable & does not need sealant, but it is advisable imo to apply some over the "D" inserts.
