A little caveat emptor about that seller.

I purchased a complete exhaust system from that 'chap' for an Elan about 4 years ago, it must be, sight unseen, descibed as having had 'very little use'

Turns up with a shortened centre pipe and the whole system having been sand blasted, roughly. It had been used in a race car.

He used to post for a while on here, goes by the name of Del............boy, claiming 2000 BHP from a standard twin cam, I am sure you will all remember.

Not quite sure what happened to my senses the day I did that deal !

Live and learn.

Besides weight, what are the advantages?

Is heat dispersal better?

I would also want a steel crank for a 2L bottom end like that and at that price!

I was brought up on Austin Sevens, so the sight of No.4 big end looking for daylight wasn't that uncommon!
