Struggling to remove S2 engine from bay

PostPost by: jmrtaylor » Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:42 pm

I am in the process of removing the engine block from a 1965 S2.

And struggling to get it out of the engine bay.
Its on a hoist and waiting to to be pulled.

What I am really not sure about is what needs to be detached from the block back
for it to come free.

Some guidance here would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Assuming all bolts are removed, sometimes a 'wedge' of sorts is needed between the block and bellhousing. A slight wack with a screwdriver should do it. Be sure to support the trans.

And don't forget that pesky little 7/16 bolt just above the slave cylinder. Has caught me out a few times......
