Oil filler oil leak solved

Apologies if this is common knowledge but I thought I'd offer it as a solution which may help someone else.
For a while now my Elan has had an annoying oil trickle from the filler cap and a new washer didn't make any difference.
Anyway I stood pondering it the other day and suddenly realised the trickle was always in the same place and I suddenly had a brainwave (very rare occurrence) .....retaining pin leaking thinks I ........sure enough the pin on the offending side wobbled when I tested it.
I have loctited it back in and the oil leak appears to be cured
They are a crappy design. They appear to be plain shouldered pins, presumably an interference fit but are knocked in from the inside, so if they do fall out they fall into the engine!
