PostPost by: Ianashdown57 » Sat Apr 07, 2012 1:40 am

Hi,

I've been getting many answers to the question of "What is the standard block height for a Lotus Twincam" I've measures mine and I think it's stock, standard etc, but I'd like to be sure.

Can anyone give me a definative answer?

Thanks,

Ian

The 7 7/8 in or 200.03 mm number is rounded a little I think. I measure most original blocks in the range of 197.8mm +/- 0.2mm. The 2 new Lotus spec block being made by Ford Motorsport I have measured are 198.0 mm.

The Ford drawings I have of Kent engine components are all in inches and
2 significant decimal places, ie: 2.11 or 6.37, not 6.375. So, I would expect there to be some variation.
